Creating a Comet/Asteroid
January 27, 2010  |  by a.cangelosi

In this tutorial we’ll talk about how we can proceed to create a comet or an asteroid using different techniques. We’ll start modeling the base object making a not so complex mesh and then we’ll work on particles, and on next part we’ll add  more layers using Krakatoa and/or Sitni Sati Afterburn, and we’ll try to obtain  different looks for outer space shot and “flying over the sky” shot.

    2. Cool tut, thanks.

I agree with Borat, it would be cool if you use Krakatoa for the next part.

      • Thanks to you too. We’ll finalize it using all the best techniques we can use, so we hope to be able to use Krakatoa and FumeFX/Afterburn too.

        Regards,

        Alessandro
